A Voice of Hooray

Based in the Wild.
“Our world needs more cheering and less condemning. More rejoicing, less rejecting. More delighting, less denouncing. More confetti, less critique.”
Hello!
DeAnn Carpenter writes, teaches, and cheers people on toward lives worth celebrating. Alongside her husband, Brian, and their kids, Asher and Ruby, she’s been practicing “Hooray” — a rhythm of joy and gratitude — for years. After serving in full-time church ministry in Billings, Montana, DeAnn and Brian founded the Refuge Foundation, a space for rest and renewal for leaders who serve others.
DeAnn also leads Refuge W.I.L.D. (Women in Leadership Development), creating room for women around the world to grow, connect, and breathe again.
She speaks to churches, women’s ministries, and events nationwide — always with laughter, honesty, and hope at the heart of her message. If you’d like to invite DeAnn to speak at your church or event, tap the button below — she’d love to celebrate what God is doing with you.
THROW SOME CONFETTI!
Throwing Confetti, DeAnn reminds us that joy isn’t found in perfect moments but in practiced gratitude. Each page invites you to look again at your life and see the goodness of God, even in the in-between.
